Waterville- Anita Douin, 82, of Winslow passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 16, 1929 in China, Maine. Her parents were Albert and Esther (Soucy) Lizotte. She was the youngest of 3 children.

Anita is survived by one child, a wonderful daughter named Kathie whom is married to Robert Belanger. Kathie blessed her with 6 grandchildren: Steve (and Liza), Ben (and Kayla), Michael, Kaitlin, Lauren, and Jaimie. She also had 7 great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Alixandra, Tyrus, Kali, Jaycee, Elliot and Everett; a nephew James (and Marsha) Roy.

She was predeceased by a sister Marcella Roy and by a brother Roland Lizotte.

Anita worked at LaVerdiere’s for many years. She lived most of her years in the Waterville/Winslow area.

Anita was pure hearted, had an endearing sweetness and infinite love for all. This only begins to describe her. She was the most wonderful mother who was there through all of the good times and bad, no matter what. She was also the best grandmother and even great-grandmother any child could ever ask for. She enjoyed life and especially enjoyed spending time with family.

She had the warmest hugs that just enveloped you in love. Her smile could brighten your day no matter how down you may be feeling. Just knowing that you were loved by Anita was enough to bring a smile to your face. Her eyes were full of kindness as her heart was as well. She will be missed dearly yet she will never be forgotten. She will be with us always in our hearts to carry with us ‘til the end of time.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville.

Her family would like to thank those who were there with her in the last months. Your support and aide were a tremendous easement and we are sure Anita was thankful for you in her life as well.
