Brik Eric Hamilton Obituary (1953 - 2015)

CLINTON, ME - Brik E. Hamilton, 62, died June 14, 2015 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, ME. Born April 20, 1953, in Boston, MA, he was the son of Arthur and Cynthia (Pickens) Hamilton. Brik was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, ME and from the University of Maine at Orono, ME, with an associate degree in Civil Engineering. Brik went to work for Warren Brothers upon graduation and continued to work for Tilcon and Pike Industries for over thirty years. During his career he was also employed for Thibodeau & Sons and ETTI. Brik was a member of First Congregational Church in Waterville, ME. As a youth, he was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Ski Club at MCI, played tennis, and rode and showed his horse Mr. Ned. He enjoyed skiing and traveling with his wife and daughters and playing chess and golf with co-workers. Brik was an avid fan of the Patriots and Red Sox and loved his daughters company at the games he attended. In the evenings he found peace after the long work day in doing crossword puzzles and reading novels. Brik was resourceful and could do plumbing, wiring, and carpentry work. He is survived by his wife, Susan, and two daughters Christine and Jennifer, his brother Brek S. Hamilton and his wife Barbara, his sisters Bretta Hamilton and Britta Cote, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4 - 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home at 107 Main Street, Fairfield, ME, where the service will follow. A private interment will be at Green Lawn Rest Cemetery in Clinton, ME at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brik may be sent to: Alfond Cancer Center, 361 Old Belgrade Rd.
