He was born in New York, New York on May 29, 1952 the son of Gilbert and Evelyn (Petley) George. Tom worked for many years as a security guard at Hathaway Shirt in Waterville and later for Toby Nason as a detective in his security agency. He has been disabled since 1993. Besides his parents he is predeceased by a brother Richard George. Surviving is his wife Patricia (Decker) George of Fairfield, 2 brothers Gary and Gerald George of New York, 2 sisters Donna Jones of Augusta and Robin of Oakland. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 24 at Wheeler Funeral Home (www.wheelerfh.com) 26 Church Street Oakland where friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
