February 22, 2013 North Belgrade: Jeannette F. Grivois 71, died Thursday February 21, 2013 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born in Mercer on July 26, 1941 the daughter of Walter and Leola (Branch) Tracy. A life long resident of Belgrade, Jeannette graduated from Belgrade High School. She was employed for many years by Wyndott Woolen Mill and Carlton Woolen Mill. Jeannette was a member of Eastern Star. She was a giving person and sponsored several children in underprivileged areas. She was a collector of memorabilia, including windchimes. She enjoyed crossword puzzels, bingo, and playing cards. One of her favorite activities in the past was dancing with her husband. A large and loving part of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother John Tracy. Surviving is her husband of 33 years, Gerald Grivois of Belgrade, 3 sons, Dennis Stratton Jr. Of Fairfield, Charles Stratton of Oakland, and Henry Stratton of Palmyra, 2 daughters Kathleen Stratton and Sheila Serencha both of Oakland, a sister Gloria Gilbert of Belgrade, sisters in law Edwina Gendreau and Gloria Geeves, brother in law Jimmy Grivois, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit Monday February 25 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at Wheeler Funeral Home, 26 Church Street, Oakland. A celebration of Jeannette s life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at the North Belgrade Baptist Church, Route 11 Belgrade, Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade in the spring .
