Belgrade: Joseph A. Krolak 76, died unexpectedly Tuesday October 14, 2014 at his Belgrade home. He was born in Brooklyn New York on December 30, 1937 the son of Louis and Bella (Wilinski) Krolak. Joseph attended schools in Brooklyn and joined the US Navy Sea Bee in 1956. Joseph was a Police Officer with the New York Police Department for many years, retiring to Belgrade in 1984. A thirty year resident of Belgrade, he was active in the Belgrade Lions Club and served as their president from 1997 to 2000. Joseph also attended the Old South Church. He is predeceased by his wife Virginia Krolak in 2003 and a brother Edward Krolak. Surviving are 2 sons, David Krolak and wife Becky of Maryland and Michael Krolak and wife Lorraine of New York, 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, and Kerrie Krolak, a sister Lorraine Sportiello and husband Al of New York, Many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Saturday October 18 at Wheeler Funeral Home 26 Church Street Oakland where a funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Sunday October 19.
