Lance Robert Paradis Obituary (1967

Wheeler Funeral Home 26 Church Street Oakland, Maine 04963 207-465-3011 Sidney: Lance Robert Paradis 46, died Tuesday June 3, 2014 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. He was born in Waterville on August 5, 1967 the son of Robert R. And Cecile M. (Buzzell) Paradis. Lance graduated from Rangeley Regional High School and earned both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in History from the University of Maine at Orono. At Orono, Lance was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He was a hunter, mountaineer, and competitive handgun shooter in the International Defense Pistol Association and Steel Challenge. He was also an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor. Lance served as the Director of the Wilderness Rescue Team(WRT). Lance was co-owner of Paradis Outfitters in Sidney since 1996. Surviving is his wife Mary F. (Bednar) Paradis, his parents Robert and Cecile Paradis, daughters, Lindsey and Rachel Paradis, brother Jeffrey Paradis and wife Sue, and nephews Nate and Dan Paradis all of Sidney, Friends are invited to visit 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM on Friday June 6 at Wheeler Funeral Home 26 Church Street Oakland.
