Jefferson, Maine - Lessie Mary Lloy, 79, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2016 after a long illness at Glen Ridge Nursing Home in Augusta, Maine. Lessie was born on May 18, 1937 in Somerville, Maine to the late Charles and Mildred (Erving) Crummett. Lessie attended Somerville School and Erskine Academy. She then went on to work at Country Manor Nursing Home, Sylvania and then worked with her husband George (Earl) running their country store, Sunny Acre Tea Room in Jefferson, Maine. Lessie then decided to stay at home and be a full time mom to her children. For over 30 years Lessie made and sold hundreds of Christmas wreaths from her home. She also spent many summers raking blueberries with her children. Lessie was predeceased by her husband George Earl (Ward) Lloy; her brothers, Clyde, Clifton and Orrin. She is survived by her son Dewey and wife Sharon of Raymond, Maine; her daughter Dedre and friend Dave of Jefferson, Maine; sisters, Ethel Bartlett of Jefferson, Maine, Arlene Grotton of Windham, Maine; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the CNA’s that provided great care and service for Lessie during the time she was at Glen Ridge. A graveside service will be on Friday May 27, 2016, at 10:00am Sand Hill Cemetery in Somerville, Maine.
