Obituary

Lucille M. Jaquith, 93, of Winslow and Waterville died on December 16, 2011at Maine General Medical Center, Thayer unit.

She was born in Waterville on January 18, 1918, a daughter of the late Frank and Phoebe Marcoux. The youngest of six children, she was affectionately called "Babe", a name she used throughout her life. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor.

Babe and her late husband of 58 years, Frank, enjoyed a loving marriage. They were avid hunters and fishermen. Together, they delivered Meals on Wheels as volunteers for 20 years.

Surviving are a large number of nieces and grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews located throughout the country.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22 at the Church of Notre Dame in Waterville. Burial will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Muskie Center at 38 Gold Street, Waterville.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, December 22 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Veilleux Funeral Home at 8 Elm Street, Waterville.
