Mack Jeffrey Hamlin Fairfield 1951~2025
Mack gained his angel wings on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. He was born on December 6, 1951, to Robert and Marionette Hamlin.
He attended Lawrence High School, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Carlene Leavitt. Together, they celebrated 52 years of marriage. He worked for Jordan Meats, Associated Grocers, and retired from the State of Maine DOT.
He is predeceased by his son, Michael James Hamlin; his parents; and his siblings- Teddy, Paul, Ricky, Randy, Kelly, and Martha. He is also predeceased by his best friend and brother-in-law, Phil Kimball; and special mom and dad, Florence and Merton Rowe.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene; his daughter Mary (Duane) Locke, and their sons, Steven and Wyatte LaPan; his daughter Marsha (DJ) Demers and their children Cassandra (Cody Smith) Demers, Alexander (Savannah Dube) Demers, and Michaela Demers; and a very special great granddaughter, Gwen Smith; his daughter Lisa Nadeau and her children, Joshua Nadeau, Jodie Nadeau, and Jackson (Christy) Vaughn; his son, Dan (Jackie) Lynch, and their children, Katelyn Lynch and Brandon Lynch. He is also survived by his siblings Carol (Glen) Laney; Tim (Beverly), David (Kris); Mary, Larry (Linda); Jack; John; Kathy; Steve (Vi); Judy Luckern; Terry (James) Gerow; Sherry (John) Luckern; Patsy and Susan. He is also survived by his in-laws, Yvonne Kimball; Hildred Hamlin; June Hamlin; Cindy Hamlin; and Ronnie Blodgett.
The family is deeply grateful to Dr. P, Dr. Bekasiak, and all the nurses who provided compassionate care and support. Their dedication was a source of comfort during a difficult time. We would also like to thank his amazing Alfond Angels.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27, at 10:00 am at Maplewood Cemetery in Fairfield. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the burial at Carlene’s home. Those who wish can make a donation in Mack’s Memory to the Harold Alfond Cancer Center.
