Sherry L. (Kitchin) Cloutier Obituary (1964 - 2017)

AUGUSTA - Sherry L. (Kitchin) Cloutier, 52, of Augusta, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2017. Sherry was born August 4, 1964, in Thorndike, the daughter of Harold C. and Marilyn J. (Shibles) Kitchin. She attended Lawrence High School. For many years she worked at C.F. Hathaway Shirt Factory in Waterville before returning to school and obtaining her degree. After which she enjoyed a long and successful career in insurance. Sherry enjoyed spending time by the ocean. Whether walking on the sand, collecting sea glass and shells, or just watching the sunset. She was happiest there and it was only fitting that her final days were spent close to the place that was so dear to her. She loved her family and friends, and was enjoying the summer and spending time alongside of them - barbecuing, gardening, and playing with her grandchildren and grandniece. She will be remembered fondly and be missed unmeasurably by those who knew and loved her. Her strength in the face of many challenges, kindness and dedication to friends and family during times of trial, and honesty will be memories that everyone who was close to her will cherish. Sherry was predeceased by her father Harold C. Kitchin; her beloved sister Terri A. Breault; and her niece Lisa M. Breault. She is survived by her husband Thomas Cloutier; her mother Marilyn Kitchin; her son Aaron Knox; her stepchildren Ashley and Derek Emery, and Brittany Hanson; her special nieces Racheal and Brianna Soucy; four grandchildren, Gunnar, Helena, Izzy, and Parker; her great-niece Natalia; as well many other wonderful close friends and family members. Sherry, we love you, we miss you, and we remember “this too shall pass.” Viewing hours will be on Friday, July 21, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home,107 Main St., Fairfield. As per her wishes a Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m until 2 p.m on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Winslow VFW, 175 Veteran Dr., Winslow.
