Virginia B. (Murray) Ladd Obituary (1918 - 2016)

Fairfield/Waterville, ME- Virginia B. (Murray) Ladd, 98, passed away on March 10, 2016 with her husband by her side. Virginia was born on February 13, 1918 in Waterville, ME to the late Paul and Ethel (Bushey) Murray. She attended Fairfield schools where she graduated at the top of her class. Virginia met her husband Beecher Ladd, Sr. and they married in 1939 and have been inseparable since. Virginia primary was a homemaker for her family but she did hold a few part time jobs, the one that she enjoyed the most was working for the Getchell Street Baptist Church in Waterville, ME for almost 10 years where she also was a member. She is predeceased by her parents; her brothers; her sisters; her son Lewis; and her daughter Paula. Virginia is survived by her husband of almost 78 years Beecher Ladd, Sr.; and her sons Beecher Ladd, Jr. of Pittsfield, ME and Wayne Ladd and his wife of Oakland, ME. There will be a graveside service in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterville, ME.
